[01-02-2016] The goal of the General Department of Vietnam Customs is to boost information and technology in all customs state management activities in order to facilitate people and enterprises. Nguyen Manh Tung, director of the Customs Department of IT and Statistics, told the Vietnam News Agency's e-newspaper VietnamPlus about the sector's solutions to implement Resolution 36a/ NQ-CP on e-government in the upcoming time.

[03-10-2017] Mobile phone subscribers will be able to retain their numbers when switching to other mobile service providers since 2017, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC). According to the Authority of Telecommunications under the MIC, the pilot connection between three major network operators Viettel, Mobifone and VNPT will begin in December.

According to Doan Quang Hoan, director of the Vietnam Authority of Radio Frequency Management, the country has been making efforts to adopt frequency bands for the development of 4G services, foreseeing the trends in new technologies.
