THE VINACAPITAL FOUNDATION IMPLEMENTS “HELP VIETNAM BREATHE – VÌ NHỊP THỞ VIỆT NAM” PROGRAM
VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) implements and raises funds for the program “Help Vietnam Breathe – Vì Nhịp Thở Việt Nam” to provide critical medical equipment including ventilators, personal protection equipment (PPE) and other critical needs for Covid-19 treatment hospitals and frontline healthcare workers. This program is VCF’s effort to join hands with the city government to fight against the severe Covid-19 pandemic in the city.
Since the pandemic prolongs and the number of newly infected cases increases dramatically, especially in Ho Chi Minh City, VCF is implementing the program “Help Vietnam Breathe – Vì Nhịp Thở Việt Nam” to raise funds for purchasing essential pandemic-fighting medical equipment and supplies for frontline medical facilities. VCF aims to donate a minimum of 60 ventilators for hospitals treating COVID-19 patients and personal protective equipment to protect 9,000 frontline healthcare workers from high risk of infection for at least 30 days. The program will continue to raise funds for more equipment and supplies as long as the pandemic situation remains complicated. VCF will collaborate with the Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC to distribute the medical equipment to the areas of most severe critical need.
VCF and “Help Vietnam Breathe – Vì Nhịp Thở Việt Nam” are also honored to have the support of famous artists and celebrities such as Ngo Thanh Van, Xuan Lan, Nam Trung, Toc Tien, Dong Anh Quynh, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, Kim Ly, Miss Universe Vietnam H’Hen Nie…, and the players of the National Football team such as Quang Hai, Bui Tien Dung, Ha Duc Chinh, Doan Van Hau… to spread the meaningful message of the program and promote our efforts.
Producer – Director – Actress Ngo Thanh Van shares: “I want to join hands with Vietnamese artists and VCF to humbly contribute to the fight against the pandemic in our country. I hope that the pandemic will soon be repelled, everyone stays healthy and we can go back to normal life.”
“With the support of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, donors and partners, VinaCapital Foundation implements the fundraising campaigns “Help Vietnam Breathe – Vì Nhịp Thở Việt Nam” to ensure the health and safety of our hospital staff heroes on the frontline and preserve the lives of those with Covid-19, especially the critical cases, by providing life-saving medical equipment. Please join us in this critical moment – your assistance is fundamental to the success of our important mission and helps to repel the Covid-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City as well as in the whole country.” said Mr. Andy Ho – Managing Director and CIO of VinaCapital Group, Board Member of VinaCapital Foundation.
In 2020, VCF also provided medical equipment to support Covid-19 prevention with a total value of nearly 3.5 billion VND to hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City. Since the beginning of July this year, VCF has donated personal protective equipment to support many medical facilities in the city to cope with the fourth wave of the pandemic.
