PLAN ON IMPROVING LOGISTICS PERFORMANCE INDEX RATIFIED

The Minister of Industry and Trade has issued a Decision on approving a plan improving Viet Nam’s logistics performance index.  The plan aims to improve the ranking of Viet Nam in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), which is announced by the World Bank from 5-10 steps by 2025 (in 2018, Viet Nam occupied the 39th position in the world in LPI ranking).

It heads to improve the business environment, reduce expenditures, upgrade competitiveness in providing logistics service of Viet Nam as well as enhance renovation capacity.

The plan figures out 49 specific tasks in line with roles of ministries, agencies and localities, focusing on six areas in fields of upgrading infrastructure, improving shipping capacity, accelerating the capacity and quality of providing logistics services, applying technology and optimizing access capability, shortening time and reducing expenditures, enhancing the effectiveness of customs clearance and supporting services.
