FLYING TO HONG KONG SOON? HERE ARE 5 THINGS TO PREPARE BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT THE CHECK IN COUNTER.
1. COVID-19 PCR Test Report
An electronic/printed test report issued by a Vietnamese Government authorised laboratory or healthcare institution (the list can be found here). The name on your test report MUST be exactly as it appears on your passport and travel documents to show that:
1) Customer has undertaken a nucleic acid test for COVID-19 and,
2) Sample for the test was taken within 72 hours of the scheduled time of departure of the flight to Hong Kong and,
3) Result of the test for COVID-19 was negative
2. Proof of accreditation
Documentary proof (in English or Chinese) to show that the laboratory or healthcare institution is ISO 15189 accredited or is recognised or approved by the relevant authority of the government of the place in which the laboratory or healthcare institution is located. (the approved list can be found here)
Ensure test reports and travel dates are dated within the accreditation validity dates.
3. Your Hong Kong hotel room reservation
Electronic/printed hotel booking confirmation in English or Chinese in Hong Kong for no less than 21 days OR no less than 14 nights if fully vaccinated, starting on the day of arrival. The booked hotel must be a designated hotel for quarantine. Kindly refer to list of hotel here
A vaccination record proof (hardcopy or softcopy) in either English or Chinese is required. Refer to point 4 for more details.
4. Vaccination record proof (If you are vaccinated)
As documentary proof, passengers must present valid vaccination record in hardcopy OR softcopy written in English or Chinese that is issued by healthcare institution or relevant authority of the local government of the place where the vaccine was administered.
During check-in, you will have to present the completed vaccination record proof containing the below information:
1) Name of the customer (identical to the valid travel document)
2) Show received dose(s) of vaccine against COVID-19
3) The date(s) on which the dose(s) administered
4) The name of the vaccine administered (please refer to the latest list of recognised vaccines in HKSAR Government page)
5. Proof of completion of Hong Kong Government of Health online declaration form
A proof in the form of printed or digital QR code that you have completed the Hong Kong Government of Health online health declaration form. If you have yet to do so, you may complete the form here

VNAT EYES 25 MILLION FOREIGN VISITORS IN 2026

VIETNAM’S CREDIT TOPS VND19.18 QUADRILLION, FLOWS INTO PRODUCTION SECTORS
Total outstanding loans in Vietnam’s banking system had reached over VND19.18 quadrillion in the year to March 31, up 3.18% against the end of 2025, with lending largely directed toward production and priority sectors, according to the State Bank of Vietnam. Data released at the central bank’s first-quarter press briefing on April 14 showed that several Government-backed lending programs have recorded notable disbursement progress. A credit package for the forestry and fisheries sectors has been expanded sharply, from VND15 trillion to VND185 trillion.
VIETNAM GETS US$2.64 BILLION FROM SEAFOOD EXPORTS IN Q1
Vietnam’s seafood sector booked around US$927 million in export revenue in March, bringing the total in the first quarter of this year to US$2.64 billion, showed data from the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP). China was the primary export market in Q1. Other markets such as the U.S., Japan and South Korea imported less due to weakened consumer spending and stringent technical barriers.
HCMC SET TO START WORK ON SEVEN MAJOR INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS
Ho Chi Minh City plans to simultaneously break ground on seven major infrastructure projects worth a combined VND380 trillion on the occasion of Vietnam’s Reunification Day (April 30).
