CAN THO-BANGKOK DIRECT FLIGHTS TO BE LAUNCHED
Dung said Vietravel would work with the Thai Embassy and VietJet Air to open the new route, which would help in handling the rising passenger numbers and also boost local tourism.
They will add one more flight on Tuesdays between Can Tho and Da Lat, bringing the total to three flights per week.
In the first five months of this year, Can Tho received more than 2.47 million visitors, including 237,740 foreign tourists. The tourism revenue reached VND769 billion (US$34.2 million), an increase of 75 per cent over the same period last year.
Can Tho City is currently linked by air to HCMC, Ha Noi, Phu Quoc and Con Dao, as well as Da Nang, Da Lat and Taiwan.

CAPITAL FLOWS STRONGLY INTO INDUSTRIAL REAL ESTATE
Industrial real estate has had easier access to bank credit since July, when the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) reduced the credit risk coefficient for industrial real estate from 200 per cent to 160 per cent, encouraging commercial banks to lend to more projects in the segment.
