TRUE ITALIAN TASTE is part of The Extraordinary Italian Taste series, a project promoted and financed by the Ministry of Economic Development of Italy, coordinated by Assocamerestero (Association of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad) in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, with the support of the Italian Embassy in Hanoi. The project aims to promote and safeguard the Italian authentic and quality agri-food products.
CREDIT GROWTH RATE ESTIMATED AT 2.28 PER CENT IN Q1
The central bank reported that in the first three months of 2019, exchange rates and the foreign exchange market remained stable, supported by the abundant foreign currency supply, good liquidity in the market, and credit organisations’ continued purchase of foreign currencies from their clients. These have created optimum conditions for the SBV to continue buying foreign currencies to add to foreign exchange reserves, it noted.
FRESH POLICIES COME INTO FORCE SINCE APRIL
Tontine member is a person aged at least 18 years of age. With regard to a person aged from fifteen to under eighteen, if the private property is real estate or movable property required for registration to participate in the tontine, he/she must obtain the consent of his legal representative (Article 5).
MINISTRY PROPOSES LOWERING CIT FOR SMES
The ministry said that SMEs played a significant role in the country’s socio-economic development and were recognised to be the driver for economic growth, citing statistics that Việt Nam had more than 600,000 firms, nearly 500,000 of them were private firms with 96 per cent of being small and micro scales.
LONG AN PROVINCE SEEKS FUNDS FOR TRANSPORT PROJECTS
In addition, the ministry has directed units to carefully inspect and propose investment for projects such as Belt Ring Road No.2 and No.3, and HCM City- Long An- Tiền Giang expressway, which play an important role in socio-economic development of the province and nearby cities.

According to Professor Dat, Vietnam’s economic performance has showed positive signs with last year’s GDP growth rate at 7.08 per cent, the highest rate in the last ten years. The primary contributions to growth come from Foreign Direct Investment, the processing and manufacturing industry, domestic consumption and a trade surplus.
