VIETNAM’S COFFEE EXPORT VALUE SURGES NEARLY 60% IN JAN–NOV

HCMC – Vietnam exported 1.4 million tons of coffee worth US$7.88 billion in the first 11 months of 2025, up 14.1% in volume and nearly 60% in value year-on-year.

The average export price rose 39.9% to US$5,667 per ton. Germany, Italy, and Spain remained the three largest buyers, with respective market share of 13.3%, 7.8%, and 7.4%. Among the top 15 markets, Mexico recorded the strongest growth, with export value rising more than 26-fold, while shipments to Indonesia fell 8.9%, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

Fruit and vegetable exports continued to post steady gains, supported by strong demand from China and expanding shipments to the U.S.. Export value in the January–November period reached US$7.91 billion, up 19.5% from a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Cashew nut exports also saw robust growth, with export value rising nearly 20% despite only a slight increase in volume. Vietnam shipped 698,100 tons of cashew nuts worth US$4.76 billion, indicating that higher prices were the main driver of revenue growth.

Pepper exports declined in volume but recorded the strongest price increase among major agricultural products, pushing export revenue up more than 23% to US$1.5 billion over the 11-month period.

Overall, higher global prices and stable or rising demand in major markets supported growth across these key export categories.
