PM OKAYS RESUMPTION OF VIET NAM-CHINA FLIGHTS
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has given the green light to the resumption of flights between Viet Nam and China, the Government Office announced Monday.
The move was made following the Government's latest meeting on COVID-19 pandemic.
Frequency and conditions for passenger transport shall be discussed and decided by competent authorities of the two countries.
PM Phuc stressed that the demand for entry into Viet Nam of overseas Vietnamese people, foreign investors, experts, and students have remains high, thus the Government will try to satisfy the demand according to order of priority and domestic quarantine capacity.
The Government chief tasked the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and Viet Nam Airlines to repatriate Vietnamese nationals in Equatorial Guinea as soon as possible.
Quick COVID-19 tests and appropriate quarantine measures will be applied to different types of entrants, according to the announcement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in charge of collaborating with the Ministry of Transport and relevant agencies to discuss with competent authorities of foreign countries to increase frequency of citizen repatriation flights and to resume commercial flights with other countries.
As of 6:30 am on Monday, Viet Nam confirmed 372 COVID-19 patients, including 232 imported cases who were quarantined upon their arrivals.
The number of recovered cases rose to 350, accounting for 94.1%, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
Thanks to successfull containment of the pandemic, the nation has conducted 40 repatriation flights since April 21, bringing home 10,996 citizens who were stranded abroad due to COVID-19.

HCMC TARGETS 181,000 NEW SOCIAL HOUSING UNITS BY 2030
HCMC plans to build more than 181,000 social housing units between 2026 and 2030, after completing nearly 17,900 units over the past five years, city officials said. OUTSTANDING GREEN LOANS REACH VND828 TRILLION IN 2017-2025
Outstanding green loans in Vietnam have reached VND828 trillion, with 82 credit institutions now extending financing to environmentally sustainable projects. Growing at an average annual rate of more than 20% between 2017 and 2025, green credit has emerged as a key driver for mobilizing and allocating resources to support the country’s green transition and sustainable economic development.
AROUND VND33.6 TRILLION RAISED FROM G-BONDS IN MAY
The State Treasury raised VND33.63 trillion from Government bond (G-bond) auctions in May, completing 72% of its second quarter issuance plan and nearly one-third of its annual target. According to data released by the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) on June 4, the exchange organized a total of 17 G-bond auctions on behalf of the State Treasury during May.
