INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY IS VITAL AS CURRENT COVID-19 FIGHT REQUIRES 'HIGH LEVEL OF FOCUS'
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam called on each citizen to uphold responsibility to protect health and even life of himself and surrounding people as the current COVID-19 fight demands 'high-level of focus.'

Dam, who is head of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control made the call at the committee’s meeting Wednesday amid rising infections since March 6.
The virus is somewhere near everyone, thus anyone may contract it and transmit to others if we do not seriously abide by official instructions, he said.
The Deputy PM called on people to stay indoor as much as possible, keep distance from others and wear facemasks, wash hands regularly, clean house, and report medical status.
As of 8 pm on Wednesday, the Ministry of Health confirmed 141 infection cases in Viet Nam, of whom 17 have recovered and exited hospitals.
The current patients include 31 foreign nationals, two frontline doctors and two nurses.

FDI REGISTRATIONS REACH US$6.03 BILLION IN JAN–FEB
Vietnam saw US$6.03 billion in foreign investment registered in the first two months of 2026, down 12.6% year-on-year, while disbursed foreign direct investment (FDI) rose 8.8% to US$3.21 billion, the highest level for the two-month period in the past five years. According to the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Finance, the total registered foreign investment, including newly licensed projects, additional capital and capital contributions or share purchases, amounted to US$6.03 billion as of the end of February.

Employers in Vietnam report an optimistic hiring outlook for the second quarter of 2026, with a net employment outlook (NEO) at 47% in the country’s inaugural edition of the ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey.
