DELOITTE: UPDATE ON GENERAL DEPARTMENT OF CUSTOMS (GDC) WORKSHOP IN APRIL 2016
The workshop was chaired by the leaders of Customs Control and Supervision Department – GDC with the involvement of Deloitte Vietnam as the only independent customs advisor.
Aiming to bring to the table the difficulties and obstacles that enterprises had been encountering in the implementation of Circular 38, Mr. Bui Ngoc Tuan – Tax Partner/Customs Services Leader of Deloitte Vietnam facilitated a half-day discussion on customs management for export manufacturing/export processing activities including EPE and non-EPE objectives.

CONGLOMERATES AID FOREIGN MANUFACTURING INVESTMENT
The manufacturing and processing sector is attracting major investment from abroad, thanks to the expansion of key conglomerates, especially from South Korea. With total revenues of about $16.2 billion and profit of $400 million last year, Hyosung Group, which works in textiles and garments, industrial materials, IT, construction, and chemicals, has expressed its plan to expand operations in Vietnam.
