HCMC’S CREDIT GROWTH IN AUGUST PUT AT 1%

Bank loans in the city from January to August amounted to VND3,331 trillion, a 3.26% increase against the end of 2022 and a 5.62% rise over the same period last year. Of total outstanding loans, Vietnamese dong currency loans accounted for 94.7%, while foreign currency loans made up the remainder.

HCMC TO CLEAR FOREST LAND FOR TRANSSHIPMENT PORT

As outlined in the project proposal, the Can Gio International Transshipment Port requires a total of 571 hectares of land. Of this, 90 hectares of mangrove forest would have to be cleared, including nearly 83 hectares of natural mangrove forest and seven hectares of land without trees. The project would also utilize 481 hectares of water surface.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a US$13.8 million deal with GreenYellow Smart Solutions Vietnam Company (GreenYellow) to support rooftop photovoltaic (PV) solar systems.
