The VBF Governance & Integrity Working Group completed successfully the Report of Study – Analysis of Corruption Risks for Investors in Vietnam. Two workshops were conducted in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh on 20th Feb and 22nd Feb respectively to share the findings of the report and seek for comments from relevant stakeholders.

Vietnam Business Forum is an on-going policy dialogue between the Government and business community aiming at a favorable business environment and a sustainable economic development in Vietnam.

Following up on the Annual VBF 2016, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued the Official Document No. 2576/BNN-QLDN providing responses to relevant issues/recommendation raised at the Forum held on 5th December 2016 in Hanoi.

As you might know, the Prime Minister will be again holding a Dialogue with the business communities in 2017. The Dialogue is expected to be taken place around the end of March or the beginning of April. The date and specific venue (Hanoi) will be confirmed later.

The Vietnam Business Forum Consortium (VBF) in collaboration with Center for Social Governance Research (CENSOGOR) and Vietnam Institute for Economic and Policy Research (VEPR) will be holding (02) workshops on two studies "Identifying corruption risks in doing business" and "Sharing corporate practical experience of preventing corruption risk in doing business” in Hanoi (20th February 2017) and Ho Chi Minh (22nd February 2017).

[12-09-2016] In a joint effort to promote the application of international standards on business integrity to enhance international integration and improve business environment in Vietnam, VBF Governance and Integrity Working Group (“G&I WG”) in conjunction with Towards Transparency (“TT”) are carrying out a study of companies’ experiences of risky business practices in Vietnam (the “Study”). The Study will assess companies’ experiences of high risk business activities.

[07-07-2016] VBF Human Resources Sub Group is planning to conduct a dialogue with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, & Social Affairs (“MOLISA”) on tentatively 24th August 2016. In preparation for the dialogue, we would like to call for your comments on pending and newly arisen labor issues.
