ELEVEN LAWS COME INTO FORCE SINCE JANUARY 1, 2021
Eleven laws coming into effect since January 1, 2021 include nine laws approved by the National Assembly in 2020.
DECREES COME INTO EFFECT IN SEPTEMBER
New regulations on management and use of grant aid, issuance of corporate bonds, management of surrogacy, and registration of foreign-flagged ships shall take effect in September.
LAWS COME INTO EFFECT FROM JULY 1
Twelve new policies came into effect from July 1 including the Laws on officers and public employees, passports, state secrets, and entry, exit, transit, and residence of foreigners.

Operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol will be officially banned from Wednesday as part of the Law on Prevention and Control of Alcoholic Beverages’ Harmful Effects.
