HCMC EARNS VND208 TRILLION FROM TOURISM IN JAN-OCT

HCMC generated an estimated VND208.07 trillion in tourism revenue in the first 10 months of 2025, up 22% over the same period last year, according to the city’s Tourism Department. The figure represents nearly 72% of the city’s full-year target of VND290 trillion. International arrivals in the period rose 17.7% over the same period last year to 6.5 million, while domestic visitors totaled over 33 million.

HANOI CITY TOURISM TOPS 28 MILLION VISITORS IN 10 MONTHS

Hanoi City has attracted more than 28.2 million visitors in the first 10 months of 2025, surpassing the city’s full-year figure in 2024, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism. The number represents 91% of the city’s annual target. In October, the capital city has welcomed around 2.27 million tourists, including 695,000 international arrivals and 1.6 million domestic travelers, up 18% and 5% year-on-year, respectively, reported the Government news website (baochinhphu.vn).

HCMC TOURISM REVENUE TOPS VND184 TRILLION IN JAN-SEPT

HCMC’s tourism revenue exceeded VND184 trillion in the first nine months of the year, meeting 71% of the full-year target, according to the city’s Department of Tourism. The city attracted an estimated 5.88 million international visitors, or 69% of the year’s plan, and over 29.17 million domestic travelers, about 65% of the full-year target.

VIETNAM ATTRACTS OVER 15.4 MILLION INTERNATIONAL VISITORS IN JAN-SEPT

Data from the National Statistics Office showed that around 1.5 million foreign tourists came to Vietnam in September, down 9.6% compared to August but still 19.5% higher than in the same month last year. Overall, international arrivals in the January-September period reached more than 15.4 million, up 21.5% year-on-year.

Việt Nam's hotel market will attract over US$125 million in cumulative investments in 2025 as the country’s tourism market eclipses pre-Covid levels, according to data and analysis by JLL Vietnam, a professional services firm specialising in real estate and investment management. The company said that the market is poised to enter a prolonged period of investment growth driven by an influx of tourists and the completion of new infrastructure.

HCMC EARNS NEARLY VND185 TRILLION FROM TOURISM IN JAN-SEPT

HCMC has earned an estimated VND184.6 trillion from tourism so far this year, equivalent to 71% of its full-year plan, the city’s Department of Tourism said. The city welcomed more than 29.1 million domestic visitors, or 64.8% of its full-year target, and 5.8 million international visitors, or 69.2%. Tourism has continued to recover steadily, with major holidays driving strong demand, particularly for short trips, weekend breaks and river tours.

VIETNAM WELCOMES NEARLY 14 MILLION FOREIGN VISITORS IN JAN-AUG

Vietnam welcomed close to 14 million international visitors between January and August of 2025, up 22% year-on-year, as favorable visa policies and tourism promotions fueled strong growth. August foreign arrivals reached 1.68 million, the highest ever for the month and up 8% from July, showed official data. China remained the top source market with more than 410,000 visitors, or a quarter of August’s total, followed by South Korea, Taiwan, Japan and the United States.
