VIGLACERA’S INDUSTRIAL PARKS CONTINUOUSLY ATTRACTS GREEN PROJECTS
Viglacera is renowned as a leading industrial park (IP) developer in Vietnam, with 25 years of experience, successfully attracting many world-renowned technology giants such as Samsung, Amkor, Hyosung, Foxconn, BYD, Qisda, and others. Building on this achievement, Viglacera is elevating its IPs to a new level by spearheading the development of green and smart IPs to attract green industrial projects.
Originating from the new rules in global trade and investment established at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) and the commitment of the Vietnamese Government to achieve Net-Zero emissions by 2050, Viglacera sets its sights on developing IPs following green and smart models. This entails attracting investments in high-tech industries, environmentally friendly supporting industries, and creating high value-added.
Following the kick-off of the New Year 2024 project at Thuan Thanh Eco-Smart IP, the leadership of Viglacera Corporation – JSC officially established standards for Viglacera’s next IP projects to strictly adhere to green and smart goals. Core objectives have been incorporated into action plans, such as maximizing resource efficiency, reducing fuel consumption, minimizing water usage, and mitigating environmental pollution. With existing IPs, there will be a gradual investment in conversion and upgrading to achieve the highest level of greening. This transformation serves as evidence of Viglacera’s vision and responsibility towards the community.

As a result, green projects have consecutively been commenced within Viglacera’s IPs. Specifically, Hitachi Energy, a leading industrial technology conglomerate, recently inaugurated a $50 million transformer factory in Tien Son IP (Bac Ninh) in December 2023. The factory achieved LEED Gold certification, demonstrating Hitachi Energy’s commitment to minimizing environmental impacts.
A series of new-generation factory projects by Frasers Property Vietnam (FPV) has also chosen Viglacera’s IPs as their destinations. FPV is the first company in Vietnam to be recognized by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) for setting greenhouse gas emission reduction targets. According to Mr. Truong An Duong (Director of the North Vietnam Branch), FPV has outlined a Net Zero roadmap by 2050, specifically aiming to certify all development projects to 100% green standards. In line with this approach, Frasers commenced the Industrial Centre Yen Phong 2C project (Bac Ninh province) with 34,500 square meters of ready-built factories and high-quality warehouse facilities, emphasizing the creation of a healthy and sustainable working environment.

Frasers Property Vietnam commences Industrial Centre Yen My (Hung Yen province) on March 20, 2024, and Industrial Centre Dong Mai (Quang Ninh province) on March 23, 2024.
In March 2024, FPV officially commenced two more projects: Industrial Centre Dong Mai (Quang Ninh province) with 71,000 square meters of ready-built factories and warehouses in a premium model, and Industrial Centre Yen My (Hung Yen province) comprising 159,000 square meters of multifunctional industrial facilities and significant green areas with four entertainment parks within the project.
All projects are designed to meet LEED certification requirements, which are internationally recognized standards focusing on energy efficiency and environmental protection in projects, and are acknowledged as the most comprehensive green standards for human living spaces. The groundbreaking ceremony at Dong Mai IP (Quang Ninh province) was honored by the presence of Mr. Kees van Barr – Ambassador of the Netherlands to Vietnam, marking the beginning of the first facility of the High-Tech Semiconductor Technology Group VDL B.V in Vietnam.
The presence of LEED-certified projects in Viglacera’s IPs once again reaffirms that Viglacera’s green and smart development direction is gradually realized. Viglacera’s IPs have, are, and will continue to be the destination for high-tech, modern, and environmentally friendly businesses.
In early spring 2024, Viglacera Corporation – Joint Stock Company officially announced the “Thuan Thanh Eco-Smart IP” in Thuan Thanh town (Bac Ninh province). Thuan Thanh Eco-Smart IP covers an area of 250 hectares, located near Ring Road No.4, expected to be completed in 2026. Once Ring Road no.4 is open to traffic, Thuan Thanh Eco-Smart IP will be quickly connected to Hanoi capital (20 minutes travel time), Noi Bai International Airport (40 minutes travel time), and Hai Phong Port (1 hour 15 minutes travel time).
