NEW WAVE OF FDI IN TEXTILE SECTOR SHAPING
Noticeably, Turkey poured US$660 million in a fiber-producing-plant in the southern province of Dong Nai, making it the largest project so far in this field.
The other two projects are a plant producing auxiliary products for textile in Binh Duong province and a fiber plant in Tay Ninh, worth US$274 million and US$160.8 million, respectively.
As Viet Nam has joined a number of free trade agreements with nations like the U.S. Japan, the Republic of Korea and the EU, bringing increasing opportunities and advantages for investors.
Garment exports to the EU are expected to rise by 50% in the first year and around 20% for the consecutive years once the Viet Nam-EU free trade agreement comes into effect.

FDI REACHES NEARLY $7 BILLION BY END OF FEBRUARY
Foreign investment into Việt Nam continued an upward trend in the first two months of the year, statistics released on Wednesday by the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Finance showed. The total foreign registered capital was over US$6.9 billion by the end of February, while disbursed capital was $2.95 billion, up 35.5 per cent and 5.4 per cent, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

LAW ON DEPOSIT INSURANCE TO BE AMENDED
According to the SBV, after 12 years of implementing the Law on Deposit Insurance, there have been a number of difficulties and problems that need to be resolved to further enhance the role of the Deposit Insurance of Vietnam (DIV).

FDI FUELS VIETNAM’S MOMENTUM TO REACH DOUBLE-DIGIT ECONOMIC GROWTH
According to the General Statistics Office (GSO), Vietnam secured 38.23 billion USD in FDI last year, positioning itself among the top 15 developing countries for FDI inflows. Notably, the disbursement of FDI capital hit a record high of 25.35 billion USD, up 9.4 per cent from the previous year. The influx has contributed significantly to Vietnam's position as a regional leader in economic growth.
