HCMC – HCMC plans to develop 14 new industrial parks with a total area of 3,833 hectares from now until 2033.
The HCMC Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA), in coordination with Binh Chanh District, held a conference on May 9 to announce the city’s industrial park development plan for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, and investment attraction strategies for 2025.
Pham Thanh Truc, deputy head of HEPZA, said the city aims to convert existing industrial land areas into advanced models, such as eco-industrial parks, high-tech zones, industrial-urban-service complexes, and logistics centers.
Five existing zones are being considered for pilot conversion, including Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone and the industrial parks of Hiep Phuoc, Tan Binh, Cat Lai, and Binh Chieu.
In addition, HCMC plans to develop 14 new industrial parks covering a total of 3,833 hectares. From 2025 to 2027, the city will invest in four parks: Pham Van Hai I, Pham Van Hai II, Vinh Loc 3, and Nhi Xuan.
Between 2027 and 2030, five more parks are planned: An Phu, Trung An, Le Minh Xuan 4, Pham Van Hai III, and Hiep Phuoc 3.
From 2030 to 2033, five additional parks will be developed: Tan Phu Trung 2, Tan Phu Trung 3, Tan Phu Trung 4, Binh Khanh 1, and Binh Khanh 2.
These 14 new industrial parks will be developed as smart industrial zones with regional and sectoral linkages. The plan aims to attract strategic investments in key industries, clean manufacturing, and high technology.
