The HCMC government has asked its citizens to wear face masks in public places in light of the complicated Covid-19 situation and urged all departments and local authorities to be watchful and ensure people appropriately follow Covid-19 infection prevention and control measures.
The HCMC Department of Health has been tasked with collaborating with district governments to identify people in the city who visited Danang City, which has recently reported Covid-19 cases of community transmission, since July 1.
People who had close contact with the 416th and 418th patients in Danang or have developed symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, fever and a cough will be quarantined and their samples will be taken for Covid-19 testing.

These people have been asked to install Covid-19 contact tracing apps such as Bluezone and Ncovi on their mobile phones following the instructions of the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Health.
The Department of Tourism and the Department of Health will work together to tighten control on tourists to the city, especially those who have visited Danang.
The police have been asked to deal with illegal immigrants and people who spread inaccurate information about the Covid-19 situation.
The Department of Education and Training will collaborate with the Department of Health to ensure safety for students during the upcoming high school graduation exam.
