HAIPHONG CALLS FOR INVESTMENT IN VND4.4-TRILLION HOUSING PROJECT
The Haiphong City Department of Planning and Investment is calling for firms to apply for investment in a residential project with a total cost of some VND4.4 trillion. Firms can register for investment in the project from now until September 5.
The housing project will be located on 142 Le Lai Street in May Chai and Cau Tre wards in Ngo Quyen District.
The residential project will comprise 10 blocks with 4,450 social houses covering a total area of some 54,000 square meters, and 163 commercial homes which will cover over 13,000 square meters.
Work on the project will begin after land is handed over to the investors. The project will operate in 50 years.
The residential project is part of the city’s social housing development plan, aimed at meeting the need of residents, especially those living in aging apartment buildings.

VIETNAM MANUFACTURING GROWTH EASES IN OCTOBER AS EXPORT ORDERS FALL
The S&P Global Vietnam Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index ticked up to 52.3 points in October from 51.9 points in September, pointing to a further modest monthly strengthening in the health of the sector at the start of the fourth quarter. Business conditions have now improved in 16 consecutive months. The overall improvement in operating conditions was limited by slower rises in output and new orders.
