DONATION FOR TRA LENG BOARDING HOUSE IN QUANG NAM PROVINCE
Tra Leng Primary School, established in August 2014, 100% of the students are ethnic people: Cadong.

Due to complicated terrain with cragged hills, much rivers and streams, the road to school is very far and difficult for most students. It's about 5 hours walking distance and transportation is not available. Having a boarding house is very important for them to stay at the school on weekdays.

The socio-economic life is still poor in the commune; the poor households account for over 80%. The school has around 320 students. Until recently, a boarding house is temporarily borrowed from Tra Leng Secondary school, consists of 6 rooms, but by 2017-2018, it must be returned to the Tra Leng Secondary School to register it as a national standard school.
The number of boarding students increased year by year, while the living conditions are not guaranteed. Total students at the boarding house in 2017-2018: 160 children, estimate in 2018-2019: 180 children.
In 2018, much efforts were put into raising funds for a new boarding house, in which HKBAV has voted to donate USD $3,300 (VND75,000,000) for The Bunk Bed System to this integrated boarding house for ethnic minority students. In December 2018, the project is completed with the assistance from a number of corporate donors.
