DA NANG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO BE INAUGURATED IN LATE MARCH
By March 29, Da Nang International Airport will be completed, welcoming the first flight and then operating on a trial basis from April to September 2017. Construction of a new terminal at Da Nang International Airport is scheduled to be completed to serve foreign passengers, especially delegates to meetings held within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Year 2017.
The construction of the terminal began in November 2015 with a total investment of VND3,504 billion on an area of 21,000 square meters.
The project comprises three main components: an international passenger terminal, an overpass and a parking area.
The 48,000 sq.m terminal has a designed capacity of 4 million passengers each year by 2025 and provides parking space for over 400 automobiles.
The new Da Nang International Airport is set up under Decision No 3066/QĐ-BGTVT approving the revised master plan of Da Nang International Airport up to 2020 with a vision towards 2030.

Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Vietnam Shantanu Chakraborty has expressed his impression of the Southeast Asian nation’s economic growth of 6.4 per cent in the first half of this year.
