Vietnam’s overseas investment in January, was estimated at 36.9 million USD, a nearly twelvefold increase from the same month last year, according to the General Statistics Office.

The monthly statistical data presents current economic and social statistics on a variety of subjects illustrating crucial economic trends and developments, including production of agriculture, forestry and fishery, business registration situation, investment, government revenues and expenditures, trade, prices, transport and tourism and so on.

The Department of Planning and Investment of Nghe An Province has called on investors to develop an urban area project along the Vinh river in Vinh City, with a total cost of nearly VND1.44 trillion.

Investors of housing projects that lag behind schedule will be fined VND400-600 million each, according to the Government’s newly-issued regulations. The Government has issued Decree 16/2022/ND-CP on administrative sanctions against violations in the real estate sector.
