STAMPING FEES FOR SHORT-TERM VISA TO DROP SHARPLY
[14-11-2015] Since November 23, 2015, stamping fees on short-stay visa to Viet Nam will be reduced sharply from US$45 to US$25. The regulation is stipulated at Circular 157/2015/TT-BTC on granting of visa for foreigners to Viet Nam for tourism and study purposes. The new circular maintains charges for three-month stay visa and raises costs for long-term visa.

VISA EXEMPTION FOR VIETNAMESE EXPATRIATES
[30-09-2015] The Government has issued Decree No. 82/2015/NÄ-CP on visa exemption for Vietnamese expatriates, their spouses and children entering Viet Nam. Accordingly, Vietnamese expatriates, their spouses and children are required to have passports or international travel papers that are valid for at least one year, submit identification papers to authorized agencies abroad and not subject to cases of entry and exit suspension regulated at Articles 21 and 28 of the Law on entry, exit and residence of foreigners in Viet Nam.
