FOREIGN ARRIVALS TO VN RISE 41.2% IN JULY

[28-07-2016] Foreign arrivals to Viet Nam in July this year reached 846,311, a rise of 41.2% year on year, reported the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT). The figure pushed the total foreign visitors to the country in the first seven months of this year to 5.5 million, an increase of 24% over the same period last year, according to the VNAT.

VISA EXEMPTION FOR VISITORS FROM FIVE COUNTRIES EXTENDED

[04-07-2016] The Vietnamese Government has decided to extend visa exemptions by an additional year for tourists from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. The decision, Decree 56/NQ-CP, was issued on June 30.

TOURISM MINISTRY SEEKS LONGER VISA WAIVER FOR EUROPEANS

[17-05-2016] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proposed the Government renew and extend the visa waiver for citizens of five Western European countries from the current one year to five years and the visa-free stay from 15 days to 30 days.

VISA EXEMPTIONS FOR WESTERN EUROPEAN TRAVELLERS EXTENDED

[14-04-2016] The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is seeking government approval to extend visa exemptions for Western European tourists. According to head of the VNAT Nguyen Van Tuan, the visa exemption policy for visitors from the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain will expire on July 1 this year so the administration has proposed extending the policy.

VN TO GRANT ONE-YEAR VISA FOR U.S. CITIZENS

[04-04-2016] The National Assembly will vote for the Government's proposal to extend the validity of temporary visas for US citizens from three months to one year on April 9. The move was decided after State President Tran Dai Quang presented a statement to suggest the NA ratify the Diplomatic Note on Visa Granting between Viet Nam and the U.S on April 4 during the ongoing 11th session of the 13th National Asssembly.
