HONG KONG HAS FURTHER EASED THE TRAVEL RULES
Greetings from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Singapore. We are pleased to inform you that Hong Kong has further eased the travel rules. The Amber Code for inbound travellers during the first three days of arrival has been lifted - they can now enter restaurants, gymnasium, beauty parlours etc without restrictions.

ASEAN INTERNSHIP SCHEME FOR HONG KONG HIGHER EDUCATION
Thanks to the support from your organisation in offering internship places in the 2020 round of the internship scheme which unfortunately did not materialise due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the pandemic situation has greatly improved, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government will resume the internship scheme in 2023, which will be administered by Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices (HKETOs) in Singapore, Jakarta and Bangkok.

COVID-19 RELATED TRAVEL UPDATES
+ Within 24 hours prior to boarding: RAT
+ Day 0 (arival day): "text - and - go" at HK airport
+ Day 2: Free-of-charge nucleic acid test at a community testing centre/mobile station, which can be booked online conveniently.
+ Day 1 to Day 7: Daily RATs. Can only leave the place of stay upon obtaining a negative result.

WELCOME TO HONG KONG AS WE SCRAP HOTEL QUARANTINE
We are excited to share with you that Hong Kong has scrapped mandatory hotel quarantine for inbound travellers. We have also streamlined the entry arrangements, as part of our roadmap to connect with the world and facilitate activities and people flow essential to socio-economic recovery. Here are some highlights under the new “0+3” model:

HONG KONG TO END MANDATORY QUARANTINE FOR OVERSEAS ARRIVALS WITH NEW ‘0+3’ SCHEME FROM SEPTEMBER 26
Arrivals will not require a pre-flight PCR test but will be screened upon arrival under a ‘test-and-go’ practice which will not require them to wait at the airport.
