The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) lowered its buying price for the U.S. dollar by 0.65 percent to VND22.975, the first such move in half a year. It also brought down the selling price by 0.04 percent to VND23,774.

The stock market is still an attractive investment channel for investors in the near future. However, it also poses many challenges for regulators and market members, said experts.

Việt Nam's stock market finished higher on Monday, boosted by bank stocks. The benchmark VN-Index rose 0.57 per cent to 1,328.05 points, the highest since the stock market was founded.
