Today, together with Colliers International Vietnam, we visit Binh Thanh Hope School, a private school for the hearing impaired established in 1986. The school’s main mission is to teach children with hearing disabilities to read and speak and to improve their education level to at least secondary high-school (9 grade) and hopefully can participate in the workforce for a self-sustainable living.

Today we visited the Tra Leng primary school's boarding house, one of the HKBAV Charity project where we donated a bunk bed system, opened on 30 December 2018.  It took more than 4 hours from Chu Lai Airport to Nam Tra My Mountain where the school is.  The landscape is beautifully but a rather difficult journey even for adults.

In 2018, much efforts were put into raising funds for a new boarding house, in which HKBAV has voted to donate USD $3,300 (VND75,000,000) for The Bunk Bed System to this integrated boarding house for ethnic minority students. In December 2018, the project is completed with the assistance from a number of corporate donors. 

Reading Corner is a bookshelf that sits in the corner of a small primary school. This library solution is perfect for schools that lack a room that can be dedicated to a Reading Room. Globes and educational toys are also donated. Each library we donate has a wide range of local language children's books including history, science, short stories, fairy tales, books for very young readers, children's dictionaries, children's reference books, an assortment of comic books and a full set of children's encyclopedias.
