Sunwah Group has been doing business in Vietnam for over 50 years. The Group started the business with seafood processing. At that time, Sunwah was one of the biggest seafood exporters in Vietnam during the early years, and later became one of the first foreign companies to set up a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City. Since then, Sunwah Group has continued to expand its investment in real estate, financial services, coffee and commodities trading, agricultural and dried food products, and innovation.

Seafood: Sunwah Group started its seafood processing business in Vietnam in 1970. The Group operated three seafood processing plants and was one of the biggest seafood exporters at that time. Today, the Group still operates seafood processing and trading in Vietnam.

Real Estate: Sunwah is actively involved in property investment in Vietnam and is one of the largest private property developers in the country. In 1993, Sunwah Group developed the “Sun Wah Tower”, a first-class 22-storey office building, which has become a landmark in Ho Chi Minh City. The Saigon Pearl, a joint-venture between Sunwah Group and SSG Group, is a luxury residential, business, shopping and entertainment development. Saigon Pearl is one of the largest property projects of its kind currently in Ho Chi Minh City. Sunwah Pearl is the latest development project of the Group in Vietnam, also a high-end multi-purpose development consisting of luxury apartments, office spaces and a commercial centre. The project is located in Ho Chi Minh City’s central business district between the bank of the iconic Saigon River and the city’s main north-south boulevard. This riverside property is destined to be another great real estate development by Sunwah Group.

Financial Services:

Sunwah Group is one of the largest founding shareholders of VinaCapital which provides professional financial advisory services in Vietnam. Founded in 2003, VinaCapital Group is a leading investment banking and fund management company with unrivalled experience in the emerging Vietnam market. Founded in 2016, Sunwah Kingsway Vietnam is a subsidiary owned by the Hong Kong-listed Sunwah Kingsway Capital Holdings Limited and based in Ho Chi Minh City. Sunwah Kingsway Vietnam offers investment and advisory services for inbound and outbound enterprises in Vietnam.

Coffee:

Sunwah Beverage Co. Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh City now produces varieties of coffee products targeting both retail and wholesale markets. Products are exported to established markets such as USA and Europe, and to emerging markets in Mainland China and South East Asia. The company now engages in the vast and promising local market in Vietnam. Sunwah Commodities is an exporter and processor of Robusta coffee, with operations in Vietnam since 2006. With annual output reaching 80,000 tons, Sunwah Commodities is one of the largest coffee exporters in Vietnam.

Agricultural and Dried food products:

Since the 1970s, Sunwah Group has started to export Vietnamese agricultural and dried food products. Sunwah exported rice to countries in the Middle East and Eastern Europe regions; dried shrimp to Hong Kong, Mainland China and Canada; dried chili to Singapore and Hong Kong; as well as tapioca starch to Mainland China.

Innovation:

Sunwah Innovation Center Ho Chi Minh City is launched in December 2020 as the flagship of Sunwah Innovation Centers’ network. The Center is aimed at becoming a key player of the local startup ecosystem, actively promoting Vietnam’s innovation and entrepreneurship development in its rise into a regional and global startup hub.
