LIBRARY OF DREAMS - NAM LUC - LAO CAI
We believe that every child deserves access to education and the opportunity to explore their imagination. That's why we're proud to support the Library of Dreams and Nam Luc Ethnic Minority Day-Boarding Schools, two incredible projects that are making a real difference in the lives of Vietnamese children.
The Library of Dreams was founded by Ms. Nguyễn Phi Vân in 2014 with the goal of providing access to books and creative activities for children in areas with limited resources. Since then, the project has established 183 libraries in 25 provinces and cities, with a goal of building 1,000 libraries by 2030. By selecting primary schools with dedicated principals and providing each library with furniture, books, wall paintings, and instructions for book classification, the Library of Dreams is nurturing imagination, promoting a reading culture, and helping children become global citizens.
Nam Luc Ethnic Minority Day-Boarding Schools, on the other hand, was established to enhance educational opportunities for children belonging to ethnic minority groups. Despite the challenges of traveling long distances on mountainous roads, the teachers at Nam Luc place particular emphasis on fostering a reading culture among the students. That's why the Library of Dreams sought donations to provide 1,000 new books for the school, which cost 32,000,000 VND, from our HKBAV Charity Fund. By supporting this project, we can make a real difference in the lives of more than 300 students and help them achieve their full potential.
