Dear Members, HKBAV have received an official letter 4801/BKH-DTNN from the Ministry of Planning and Investment asking comments collection from the Hong Kong community here about paying 1% of the salary/payroll of Vietnamese staffs and workers as a "Trade Union Fee".

The 8.0-magnitude earthquake in southwest China's Sichuan Province at 2:28pm on May 12, 2008 has climbed to about 70,000 death toll, over 370,000 people were injured and 17,000 others remained missing according to the headquarters for disaster relief.

Dear Members : Enclosed herewith is the NEW regulation for the China Visa Application, apart from the normal application documents as previously requested, all applications should additionally include submission of the applicants' Return Air Ticket and Hotel Confirmation in China or Proof Relative Relationship for the individual and visiting relative respectively.

In the evening of April 29th, The Olympic Games Torch Relay started at the stage in front of the Hochiminh City Opera House and marched over 10 km of a distance. Thousands of people stood at the two sides of the road to wave and cheer the torchbearer's delegation.
