CHARITY DONATION TO ETHNIC MINORITY IN BINH PHUOC PROVINCE, SOUTHERN VIETNAM

There are hundreds of ethnic minority households living in poverty at Hon Quan district, Binh Phuoc province. Most of them are S’tieng minority people and their lives are very difficult and cannot afford to go to school. Their language is S’tieng - a language that is similar to Cambodian Khmer.

Most of them work in the rubber forests or cutting bamboo shoots, collecting cashew nuts among others. Their work is not stable especially due to COVID and earn very low income. Bamboo shoots and vegetables they manage to pick up from the forest are their daily diet and often they go hungry.

HKBAV, working with Father Nguyen Chi Cong of Minh Duc parish Church, is honored to contribute VND45,608,800 (USD2,000) earlier this month to purchase some basic foods and milks for 200 households for this minority group in Binh Phuoc province, Southern Vietnam.
