BOOK DONATION FOR WARD 25 UNIVERSAL SCHOOL

Announcing our heartfelt "Book Donation" charity project for Ward 25 Universal School, based at 340/5 Ung Van Khiem Street, Ward 25, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. The HKBAV Charity Committee has donated 2,457 items, including textbooks, exercise books, and 200 books that support knowledge, thinking, and life skills for grades 1 to 5, benefiting 182 children. This donation, valued at VND 35,676,300, aims to support students who do not have the means or qualifications to study in general schools.

The school provides free education to children from immigrant families facing difficult circumstances, including those without birth certificates, too old for traditional schooling, or from families too poor to afford education. With 182 children aged 7 to 16, divided into 6 classes, Ward 25 Universal School is committed to offering a brighter future for these students, 98 of whom are day-boarding. We are proud to contribute to their educational journey and support their growth and development.

HKBAV set up the Charity Funds in 2016 and over the years, more than 30 of groups/organizations has received funding over 4.4 billion dongs (USD$176,048) donated by our members and partners.  HKBAV has taken on a longer-term initiative under the banner of “Enable Learning Impart Knowledge” where we focus to fund sustainable initiatives in education, training and students’ welfare. HKBAV generally will chose to work groups/organizations that do not enjoy any privilege to ready fundings.  To become a corporate or individual donor or if you have a project we should consider, send the information to hcmc@hkbav.org and we will follow up with you.
