BOOK DONATION FOR I-A-LINH BOARDING HOUSE IN GIA LAI

We are pleased to announce our "Book Donation" charity project for I-a-linh Boarding House in Gia Lai Province. The HKBAV Charity Committee has donated 1,363 items, including textbooks and exercise books, for 95 children from grade 2 to 12 living in the boarding house. This donation, valued at VND 23,261,150, aims to support the education of these children, who come from ethnic minority groups such as Jrai, Tay, Muong, Giao, and San Chi. Many of these children come from poor families that cannot afford to send them to school, and they live far from educational facilities.

With 18 high school students and 77 primary and secondary school students, the boarding house provides free food and accommodation, with 70% of the families contributing one bag of rice per year (valued at over 300,000 VND). We are proud to support their educational journey and help bridge the gap for these deserving students.

HKBAV set up the Charity Funds in 2016 and over the years, more than 30 of groups/organizations has received funding over 4.4 billion dongs (USD$176,048) donated by our members and partners.  HKBAV has taken on a longer-term initiative under the banner of “Enable Learning Impart Knowledge” where we focus to fund sustainable initiatives in education, training and students’ welfare. HKBAV generally will chose to work groups/organizations that do not enjoy any privilege to ready fundings.  To become a corporate or individual donor or if you have a project we should consider, send the information to hcmc@hkbav.org and we will follow up with you.
